By the grace of God, we had  another great Summer Kids Camp last week. Praise Him!

I’d like to thank all of you who have extended your financial and prayer support to make the camp a fruitful one.  For the nth time, the Lord did amazing things during the camp. There were more or less 20 teenagers and around 10 kids who came to the Sunday service as a result of this camp.

Most of the teens, who attended the camp, are now excited and are raring to join the Saturday youth group, praise God!

The local team members, who also worked during last year’s kids camp, did a wonderful job in organizing the event (it was not perfect, but I must say that they are learning a lot in the area of team building every year). There were no major problems this year, just minor, forgettable ones. But more important than that, the team learned how to work with each other, striving to be more patient and understanding especially when there would be a misunderstanding.

Despite having to get up very early in the morning, I felt that this year’s camp was much easier and lighter to work on. I just praise God for being with us the whole week through!

Another praise report: one of the young people attending my English Club classes has been very active in the Saturday youth group program and is now solidly plugged in. He has also attended the church worship service once. And he also voluntered to help us in the kids camp this year. He enjoyed it very much! Please pray for his father as his father is the one who is not allowing him to get involved with any Christian activities.

To all our ministry supporters, thanks again for partnering with us to make this summer camp a reality. You have made so many kids and teens happy!

I’ve always wanted to feature homemade videos in my blogsite, but never got around to it since my good ol’ digital camera doesn’t have the hi-tech features to make video clips.

Fortunately, my friends Alex and Lena (the newlyweds) recently bought a Canon camera, and we were able to use it to take some pictures and video clips during this year’s Summer Kids Camp.

We were just trying it out. The video quality is not that great, I know, but it’s something to start with. Thanks, Alex and Lena, for lending us your digital camera!

Have fun viewing the videos. Hope they will give you a glimpse of what we do here in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Thanks to all our friends and ministry partners. The kids send their greetings as well — in Russian (here’s what they are saying in the third video: “We like the kids camp very much!”). 🙂
